My favorite out of a few brands however I think they need to step up in the quality control.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2019I have owned 2 pairs of these boots and will buy more as needed going forward. When it comes to any type of work boot I am very picky and have a hard time finding something that fits me well and that I can wear all day long without an issue of my feet hurting. These boots are as comfortable as my tennis shoes to wear and have held up well in all weather from rain, snow, sleet, and direct sunlight in the summer. The soles wear quite well on different types of terrain but have been mainly worn on concrete. Since I haven't bought a pair of these since 2013 I can't remember all the specifics of the boot, but they do have insulation and a side zip for those of you who like the easy on and off. My first pair had the bloodborne pathogens protection which is a huge asset for people who work in a first responders environment. I do wish these boots came in the uninsulated version like the coyote brown for wearing in the summer months.
Pros: comfortable, price, fit, and overall wear
Cons: doesn't come in an uninsulated version in black
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2015I have purchased several pairs of these boots. I wear them literally every single day, usually all day from when I rise in the morning until when I take them off just before bed.
PRO: They are incredibly comfortable, durable, and water-proof. I fight in medieval combat sports with these, and they hold up well under the pressure of athletics. They wear like sneakers, and because of the zipper (which is very tough), they are quick and easy to take on/off. I don't generally have a problem with foot odor, but these boots never smell for me. The lacing holds up well, perhaps in part because the boots rarely need to be tied/untied by virtue of the zipper. The tread is tough, and the traction is just what I need. Through all of my pairs, I have never seen holes in any of the leather.
CON: Bear in mind, I wear these boots very hard. Nothing else I've worn has ever come close to putting up with this sort of abuse. This is to say, the "cons" of this boot are mostly that it is not indestructible. That said, after about a year of everyday wear (19+ hours/day), hard athletic wear weekly, and general environmental wear, the rubber side-walls will pull away from the leather, exposing the inside to water through the holes. I have managed to eventually tear the bottom front rubber from the top front leather after nearly 2 years. The soles inside (easily replaceable with a Dr Sholl's insert) will slowly begin to develop holes that will grow more as I wear them, before finally falling apart.
CONCLUSION: Fantastic product. I have used these boots for everyday wear, athletic wear, biker wear, law enforcement work, and costume wear. They shine up brilliantly with polish, and they hold up with rugged durability. As long as the company keeps making these, I'll buy them for the rest of my life.
Note: The "water-proof" aspect is solid, but only for water that exists just outside of the boots, like puddles or shallow streams. If you're encountering rain, it will likely run down your legs and into your boots. Because they're water-proof, they're not going to dry out terribly quickly on the inside. Still, it's better than nothing, and if they're tied tightly enough, you should be fine, even on a motorcycle.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2015I got these shoes originally for school, I go to UTI, an automotive school which require slip and oil resistant. I know these are meant for law enforcement and military, but they looked bad a**, and had all the features I liked. So, I got them and I have to say I am really satisfied with the purchase.
I work in a warehouse from 8am-5pm, then go to school from 6pm-1030pm, and these shoes are super comfortable! I have just had them for a week or so, but I will definitely put them to the test. Weather last week in Texas was bad, we had snow and ice, and I did notice they are not the best on ice, but great on snow. I don't know of any shoes that is really great in ice, but I would definitely rather be in the ice/snow with the boots than any other shoe I own. I also love the zipper on the side, it is great and convenient. I have to say I will probably never go back to only laced boots.
So, far I love them, they are comfortable, light, waterproof, slip and oil resistant, zipper convenient, fit as expected and look great! I have had everyone at work compliment me on the boots. I will definitely keep you all updated, since these are literally my everyday boots now. I use them 14 hours plus, so they will be put to the test.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard-wearing and badass-looking
I fancied a pair of military style boots a) after watching far too much Punisher, and b) ready for the damp and dismal UK winter. These are, in my opinion, one of the best-looking boots on amazon.
Straight out of the box these boots were VERY snug. I'm usually a size 8.5 and after reading other reviews I went for a 9- they were a little tough to get into on the first few times, but they fit my feet incredibly well with no wiggle room but also no looseness. If they did half sizes, there's no way I could comfortably wear an 8.5. I'd strongly recommend going a size up from your usual shoe.
After a few months of wear they have loosened slightly and are easier to get on/off. They're still in great condition with no significant scuffs or signs of wear and tear, and I expect they'll stay that way for quite some time. I should mention that I'm not using these for any demanding purposes such as security work or outdoor sports, but they'd probably hold up well for those. I've worn them on walks through uneven and slippery woodland terrain and my feet and ankles felt secure throughout.
Overall these are solid, dependable waterproof boots with the bonus of looking super cool.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent boot!
Some here are saying that these boots run small, but i disagree. I take size 10.5 in most boots, so i ordered 11s, and they are ever so slightly too big. Not a problem, though. I would rather have the extra toe room than not enough.
At first the wides seemed too narrow, but as i broke them in today, the boots got a lot more comfortable. If i were to order again, and were it an option, i would get the extra wides, but the wides will eventually conform i'm sure (if today's progress is any indicator).
They're pretty comfortable to walk in. I was on my feet for a good 12 hours today, and not too much fatigue, despite them still being broken in.
It's a little difficult to get the laces tight enough in some spots due to the sponginess of the lining.
The zippered side allows me to (just barely) get my foot out of the boot while still tied, although i doubt i'll be able to get it back in without undoing the laces.
The treads are really grippy.
A bit on the warm side for year-round boots, but I needed the waterproofing as I go through wet and muddy terrain often. My feet weren't baking, just a little sweaty.
On that subject, even though my feet were sweating, they didn't feel mushy in the boot. I took a whiff after taking the boots off, and they didn't smell too bad (despite having relatively stinky feet in general).
We'll see how they hold up. I'll update in a few months.
UPDATE:
The zipper allows me to take off and put back on just fine, if i leave the laces a little looser than i would normally. although I was a little worried at first that they wouldn't conform to the width of my feet, but they definitely did.
I spent a week in crown land (In Canada, that's land not maintained or used for anything, and people are free to go there. it's way out in the bush in most cases, and definitely in this case!)
Boots held up amazingly! Until i got rained on the one time, and had to wade waist deep in swamp another, the inside of the boots stayed dry. When they did get wet, I removed the insoles and hot-rocked the inside of the boots. Only took a few hours to be wearable again, and no damage to the insides. Upon returning home, even though my feet were sweating (and the issue with the swamp), the boots held little odor.
The entire time, I was comfortable. I even wore them to sleep on some cold nights. Where everyone else's footwear gave some sort of issue, my boots were the envy of the trip. The outside held up amazingly, and the inside was comfortable as always.
I'll be buying a second pair eventually, because i really wished I had dry boots to put on so i could go cut wood or grab water for the group.
Edit 2: bought these almost 3 years ago, and they're the only shoes I wear anymore, and i walk and hike a lot.
Grip is still decent, but I'm not as confident on ice as the first winter i had them.
Still waterproof as advertised.
The lining has come loose in the heel. Only issue.
I have never had boots last this many miles, and they still have plenty more to go.
100% recommend for comfort and reliability.
